TITLE:                                    Child Nutrition Services Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma
  2. ServSafe Manager Certification
  3. Certification(s) in School Food Service
  4. High degree of proficiency in computer skills
  5. Three years of experience in a food service job
  6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

 

REPORTS TO:                     Director of Child Nutrition Services

 

JOB GOAL:  To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school cafeteria for the health, comfort, and benefit of the students.

 

PEFORMANCE RESPONSIBILTIES:

           

  1. Plans and directs the preparation and service of all food in the cafeteria .
  2. Assumes responsibility for the security of food and supplies.
  3. Supervises the storage and care of foods and supplies.
  4. Assumes responsibility for the security of revenue from cafeteria services.
  5. Supervises and participates in the preparation and service of food.
  6. Oversees and participates in the cleaning of kitchen, serving, storage, and dining areas.
  7. Keeps employee time records.
  8. Maintains records on food and supplies received and used.
  9. Completes required reports, forms, and other paperwork.
  10. Assumes responsibility for checking the working condition of all cafeteria equipment and notifies the appropriate authority when repairs or replacements are needed.
  11. Performs other duties consistent with the position as may be requested.

 

                                   

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  

 

190 Day.  Salary and work schedule to be established by the Board.

Performance of this job is evaluated in accordance with provisions of Boards Policy.
